Scientific Ubiquity verbs

1 Verbs

A couple of scientific ubiquity plugins I'm playing around with

1.1 LaTeX (latex)

This verb takes the selected LaTeX-typeset equation, and replaces it with an image containing a rendered version of the same.

This can also be used for larger portions, such as a tabular, or similar.

1.2 Plot (plot) - work in progress, do not use

This verb takes the selected tabular data, and produces a plot from it.

Source: plot

This is a table
x y=x2
1 1
2 4
3 9
4 16

This is a table

2 Notes

If you'd like to try them out, simply install the Ubiquity extension (as of this writing, in alpha 0.1), you can read more here: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Labs/Ubiquity (or look at the awesome demo video of it here: http://labs.mozilla.com/2008/08/introducing-ubiquity/) and subscribe to my feed by clicking "Subscribe" in the bar that appears in the top of your viewport.

2.1 The heard

If ubiquity has caught your attention, I recommend that you subscribe to the heard feed, which makes it easier for you to find new commands, and lets you see what other users find usefull too.
